As you already know, we have replaced the filling water, which is usually the first thing in the list of ingredients in care products, with organic aloe vera juice. Where does the organic aloe vera juice that we use in NATURALSOPHY products come from? Today we take you on the journey of the medicinal plant aloe vera.
The desert lily comes from the subtropical desert regions of Latin America. It stores the water and forms its nutrients. There are around 300 types of aloe vera, which can also be found as decorations in German markets.
However, the Aloe Vera Barbadensis miller is considered to be the most effective, which we have also used in our NATURALSOPHY products. It takes up to 10 years until the first leaves can be harvested for our use.
The desert flower aloe vera contains a whole package full of vitamins, enzymes, minerals, amino acids, essential oils and also pain-relieving salicylic acid. One of the most important active ingredients is the polysaccharide acemannan. Acemannan is a long-lived form of sugar that is stored in cell membranes and protects the entire organism against parasites, bacteria and viruses.
The aloe vera plant - the precious juice of the aloe vera is obtained from the fresh leaf of the aloe vera. First, the pith is carefully filleted out professionally and then immediately packed for further processing.
The commercially available aloe vera products such as ointments, juices or hand creams often do not provide any information as to whether the leaf gel has been dried, processed into powder or added as a concentrate. Processing and heat can damage important vitamins and amino acids. It's a question of cost and quality. Because powder and concentrates weigh less, which in Germany is mixed back with water to make "Aloe Vera Juice" and is also declared as such on the ingredients list. This is exactly what makes the quality differences between the various products with aloe vera.
NATURALSOPHY's philosophy is to develop products with selected active ingredients that are good for our skin. So it was clear to us that we wanted to replace the water with organic aloe vera juice. This is because the water extracts heat from the skin and then evaporates on the skin's surface. Aloe vera, on the other hand, is absorbed by the skin and also carries the other active ingredient oils into the depths of the skin, where it fills the cells with moisture and regenerates and heals the skin. Completely natural, without chemicals. Because nature is full of magical healing powers and is the best healer of the skin - which is good for us.
