The 3 top benefits of aloe vera and hyaluronic acid! How the combination of active ingredients develops essential synergies for our daily skin care, anti-aging, pro-aging routine

Why do we use hyaluronic acid in combination with aloe vera juice as the basis (instead of water) in our Organic Beauty Cream? Aren't other creams with hyaluronic acid sufficient and do they have the same effect?

Hyaluronic acid and aloe vera are two popular skin care ingredients that are very common. But hyaluronic acid is not the same as hyaluronic acid and aloe is not the same as aloe vera juice. In addition, it is extremely important how concentrated (highly dosed? Or minimally dosed?) the active ingredients are contained in a product. Example: if the product consists of 80% water, 10% oils & emulsifiers, 5% preservatives, the rest for active ingredients...hmmm... you already know what we mean by that and confirm the statement: "Natural cosmetics work not anyway".

There are several reasons for the decision to use hyaluronic acid in combination with aloe vera juice as the basis instead of water in your Organic Beauty Cream:

Hyaluronic acid: Intensive hydration: Hyaluronic acid is a high-molecular glycosaminoglycan that has a high water-binding affinity. Studies have shown that hyaluronic acid is able to bind water and thus improve the skin's moisture supply. By maintaining optimal moisture levels, hyaluronic acid can reduce the occurrence of transepidermal water loss and improve skin hydration (Source: Papakonstantinou et al., 2012).

Hyaluronic acid can stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, which are important for the skin's elasticity and firmness. One study found that topical application of hyaluronic acid significantly improved skin elasticity and reduced the appearance of wrinkles (source: Oe et al., 2016). Hyaluronic acid also possesses anti-inflammatory properties. It can inhibit the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and enzymes involved in the inflammatory response. Studies have shown that topical application of hyaluronic acid can help reduce inflammation and redness (Source: Chen et al., 2017).

At the same time, aloe vera offers a calming and anti-inflammatory effect: aloe vera contains bioactive compounds such as polysaccharides, flavonoids and sterols that have anti-inflammatory properties. Research has shown that aloe vera can inhibit the release of pro-inflammatory mediators, thereby reducing inflammation. In addition, aloe vera can also strengthen the skin barrier and improve the skin's moisture levels, resulting in a reduction in redness and irritation (Sources: Surjushe et al., 2008; Choi et al., 2017).

Aloe Vera also has moisturizing properties. Aloe Vera contains natural humectants that help increase skin's moisture levels and ensure long-lasting hydration. Studies have shown that aloe vera can increase skin hydration and reduce transepidermal water loss (Source: Choi et al., 2013).

Of course, the synergies between hyaluronic acid and aloe vera are also very important. Because the mixture can intensify the hydration even more: the combination of hyaluronic acid and aloe vera allows a synergistic effect to be achieved to hydrate the skin and strengthen its moisture barrier. Hyaluronic acid binds water and helps to retain moisture in the skin, while aloe vera retains moisture and provides the skin with additional moisturizers. In addition, hyaluronic acid and aloe vera can complement each other in their anti-inflammatory effect. Together they can inhibit the expression of pro-inflammatory mediators and thus reduce inflammation more effectively. In addition, both hyaluronic acid and aloe vera can support the regeneration and repair of the skin. Hyaluronic acid promotes cell renewal, while aloe vera accelerates wound healing and skin cell regeneration.

And what makes NATURALSOPHY so different?

1. We use high-quality active ingredients - organic, of course!

2. Organic aloe vera juice instead of extra filling water, which dilutes the product and thus the effect

3. Organically certified according to the strict guidelines of natural cosmetics. So we MUST have a lot of organic content in the product. Since we don't use water, our product consists mainly of organic aloe vera juice, vitamins and organic oils.

4. Active ingredient synergies: as in nutritional science, synergies arise between different vitamins from food. These could help to optimize the absorption and effectiveness of vitamins in the body, such as vitamin C and iron, or vitamin D and calcium, etc. It's similar in skin care! We also use this expertise in the development of our natural cosmetics, which are not only for babies, but also for adults.
